Chocolate Chip Cookies
Some Like it Hot
A scientific study revealed that nine out of ten people prefer warm chocolate chip cookies over room temperature. Okay, we don't really know if that's true or not, but it sure sounds good! Especially if you dip warm chocolate chip cookiesin cold milk. That might leave chocolate chip cookie chunks in your milk, but who cares?! Seriously, there are three schools of thought when it comes to chocolate chip cookies. Some like them crispy through and through while others like them soft, and some sit right in the middle, preferring crispier edges and soft middles.
Variety is the Spice of Life
Some people are such big fans of chocolate chip cookies (and chocolate chip cookie dough) that they make different variations on the classic chocolate chip cookie recipe. A lot of people make peanut butter chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip cookie bars and more. An easy way to add variety to the basic chocolate chip cookie is to add a Hershey's kiss. Here's how you do it:
Chocolate Chip Cookie Kiss Cups
1 package refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough
1 bag Hershey Kisses
1. Spray the cups of a mini-muffin pan with cooking spray.
2. Cut 1/4 inch slices of the dough. Using a tart shaper, line each mini-muffin cup with the dough.
3. Bake 8-10 minutes at 350.
4. Unwrap a Kiss and drop it into each cookie-dough lined mini-mufin cup.
5. Place back in the oven for an additional five minutes.
Easy and only two ingredients! What more could you want from a chocolate chip cookie recipe. Of course, if you truly like chocolate chip cookies, here's something you simply must try. (This recipe is from Nestle.)
Chocolate Chip Cookie Milkshakes
1 quart vanilla ice cream
2 cups (about 8) freshly baked and crumbled Nestle Toll House Refrigerated Chocolate Chip Cookies
1 can (12 ounces) evaporated milk, chilled or 1 1/4 cups milk
1. Place ice cream, cookies and evaporated milk in blender; cover. Blend until smooth.
2. Garnish with whipped cream and mini-chocolate chips.
